Orthopedic Circulating Nurse
Position Overview
The facility's orthopedic service line provides surgical care across a full spectrum of procedures, including total joint arthroplasties (hip, knee, shoulder, ankle), fracture repairs, and arthroscopic and sports medicine cases. You'll work as a circulating nurse in a high-volume surgical environment where independence, clinical expertise, and efficiency are essential.
Schedule & Expectations
- Five weekday shifts: 6:45 AM–3:15 PM (early arrival at 5:45 AM may be required for 6:30 AM case starts)
- 90-week contract, 40 guaranteed hours per week
- Call coverage participation after business hours and weekends
- Float to other services as departmental needs require
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years recent full-time circulating nurse experience in a high-volume hospital setting
- Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of orthopedic surgical procedures
- Ability to function independently in a fast-paced environment
- Verifiable references from at least two prior travel assignments confirming no training was needed
- Current RN license
- BLS/ACLS and PALS certifications
- Standard health screenings and background check (details provided upon application)
What We're Looking For
Experienced circulating nurses who can hit the ground running. Extensive onboarding or training will not be provided. You'll need to demonstrate mastery of orthopedic protocols and the ability to work autonomously from day one.
