Respiratory Therapist – NICU Transport

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to support the NICU Transport team and NICU RT department. You will provide respiratory care to critically ill and premature infants during transport and within the NICU setting, working collaboratively with an experienced clinical team.

Shift & Schedule

• Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Guaranteed weekly hours: 36
• Contract duration: 13 weeks
• Start date: October 19, 2026

Clinical Scope

You will manage respiratory support for neonatal patients, including ventilator management, airway care, and assessment of respiratory status. This role demands strong assessment skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in time-sensitive transport situations and in-unit care.

Required Credentials & Qualifications

• Current state Respiratory Therapist license
• BLS certification (PALS and NICU-specific certifications preferred)
• Immunizations: MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap
• Tuberculosis screening (2-step PPD or IGRA)
• Fit test for respiratory protection
• Background check and drug screening
• Valid driver's license/state ID
