Labor & Delivery RN — Rochester, NY
This opportunity places you in an active Labor & Delivery unit providing care across the full spectrum of perinatal nursing. The position includes potential float responsibilities to mother/baby, newborn nursery, and the OR (circulating role), making adaptability an asset.
Shift & Schedule
- Days, 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 36 or 48 hours available per week
- 1 weekend shift per week, or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend
- Must work at least 1 holiday per contract
- Block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed
Contract Details
- Duration: 16 weeks or longer
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Non-U.S. candidates must have 2 years of U.S. clinical experience
Required Licenses & Certifications
- Active New York RN license
- AHA BLS
- PALS
- ACLS
- NRP
- C-EFM (Fetal Monitoring Certification)
Candidates should be comfortable with schedule flexibility based on unit needs and prepared to float as required. This is a strong fit for an experienced L&D nurse looking for meaningful hands-on perinatal care in an active clinical environment.
