Medical-Surgical Nurse – Travel Assignment
Position Overview
Join the medical-surgical nursing team on the night shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM). You'll work as part of an interdisciplinary care team, providing direct patient care and contributing clinical expertise across a range of acute care needs.
Assignment Details
- Shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
- Schedule: 36-hour guarantee; every other weekend
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 12, 2026 (additional orientation date: October 26)
- Float Requirement: Flexible to float within local campuses as needed
Required Qualifications
- Current, active RN license (Iowa or compact state)
- Active BLS certification (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military certificates accepted)
- Minimum 1+ year of clinical nursing experience
- Heparin experience required
- Mandatory Reporter status required
- Valid driver's license
- Supervisory reference form completed within the last two years
- Skills checklist specific to medical-surgical nursing
Location Requirement
Non-local candidates only. You must be at least 50 miles from the facility (based on driver's license address). First-time travelers are welcome.
