Med/Surg Telemetry — Night Shift | Sioux City, IA | 13-Week Contract

This night shift position on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit focuses on cardiac, stroke, and general medical patients. Travelers on this unit must be comfortable managing drip titrations including Cardizem, Nitroglycerin, Heparin, and Amiodarone.

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36-hour weekly guarantee
• Every other weekend required
• Two of three winter holidays required (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day)
• Limited time-off requests between 11/25–11/29 and 12/23–12/27

Float Requirements

Floating within the same discipline across local campuses is required.

Scrubs: Navy Blue

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• Prior travel nursing experience
• Active Iowa RN license or compact license (must reflect active status on Nursys)
• Active BLS (AHA, ARC, or US Military accepted)
• Active ACLS (AHA, ARC, or US Military accepted)
• Active NIHSS Certification
• Valid Driver's License
• Med/Surg Tele-specific skills checklist
• Supervisory reference completed within the last two years

Additional Notes

• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Former FTE or PRN employees of this health system are ineligible within 12 months of separation
• Orientation dates: 11/9, 11/23, 12/7
