Operating Room – Surgical Technologist | Sioux City, IA

Days | 13-Week Contract

This OR position supports a busy surgical service line covering a broad range of procedures and acuity levels. The facility performs orthopedic, general, robotic, spine, ENT, and GYN cases, making this an excellent fit for a well-rounded OR scrub tech comfortable in high-volume environments.

Shift Details

• 8-hour day shifts; start time typically 0615 or 0700
• Call coverage during the week on an as-needed basis (in the absence of staff)
• Weekend call averages 3–4 weekends per 13-week contract (Saturday, Sunday, and occasional Fridays)
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week

Float Requirements

Travelers may be asked to float within the OR discipline across local campuses.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of OR/scrub tech experience
• Prior travel experience in the OR
• Robotics experience (required)
• Mandatory reporter certification
• Active Iowa or compact nursing/surgical tech license (verified via Nursys)
• Active BLS and ACLS (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military accepted)
• Valid driver's license
• OR-specific Skills Checklist
• One supervisory reference completed within the last two years

Preferred

• CNOR certification

Location Requirement

Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address. Former employees of this health system (FTE or PRN within the past 12 months) are not eligible.
