Emergency Room RN | 13-Week Travel Contract | West Burlington, IA

This Emergency Department opportunity is ideal for an experienced ER nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment managing a diverse patient population across all acuity levels.

The Role

The Emergency Room RN is responsible for rapid, accurate and delivery of direct and indirect patient care throughout the emergency care continuum. Responsibilities include thorough assessment, care planning, intervention, evaluation, and coordination with interdisciplinary team members.

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12-hour days)
• Every other weekend rotation; every other holiday
• Occasional on-call during low-census periods — must be able to arrive on-site within one hour if called in
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week

Clinical Requirements

Prior to the first shift, travelers are expected to self-study telemetry strip interpretation. A Basic Dysrhythmia test-out is administered during the first week of orientation and must be passed to work in the Emergency Department.

Required Certifications

• ACLS
• PALS
• TNCC
• MOAB

Required Experience

• Active RN license
• Recent Emergency Department experience
• EMR experience in a comparable unit within the last 12 months

Health & Compliance

Standard onboarding health documentation required, including vaccination records (Influenza, COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap), TB test, fit test, background check, and drug screen.
