Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – Night Shift
Position Overview
Join the facility's progressive care unit as a registered nurse on the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). You'll provide direct patient care in a dynamic environment managing high-acuity cardiac and vascular patients alongside acute medical conditions.
Clinical Scope
Schedule & Staffing
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Guarantee: 36 or 48 hours per week (select upon hire)
- Every other weekend and holiday (required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day)
- Floating required to all inpatient areas and the emergency department
- Contract duration: 13 weeks
- Orientation dates: 11/9, 11/23, 12/7
Requirements
- Active Iowa nursing license (or compact state license)
- Active BLS (AHA, ARC, or US Military)
- Active ACLS (AHA, ARC, or US Military)
- Active NIHSS Certification
- Minimum 1 year recent nursing experience
- Valid driver's license
- Supervisory reference from the past 2 years
- First-time travelers welcome
