Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist
Position Overview
The facility's Cath Lab is a comprehensive interventional center performing cardiac and peripheral procedures in collaboration with cardiologists, interventional radiologists, and general surgeons. This is a full-time travel position with an 8-hour day shift and rotating call coverage.
Shift & Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM (36 hours guaranteed per week)
- Rotating call: split among four technologists, typically 2 days per week (with one week off per rotation)
- Call coverage includes evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- 13-week contract
Clinical Scope
You'll work a varied caseload including left and right heart catheterizations, percutaneous coronary interventions (PTCA), stenting, thrombectomy, atherectomy, carotid diagnostic and intervention, peripheral vascular procedures, pacemaker insertion, tilt table testing, kyphoplasty, and AV graft management.
Responsibilities
- Rotate between scrubbing and circulating roles
- Operate X-ray equipment during procedures
- Assist with pre- and post-procedure care
- Patient transport and inventory management
- Proficiency with interventional devices and imaging technology
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years Cath Lab experience (required)
- RCIS certification (required)
- BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications (preferred)
- Recent traveler experience preferred
- Two supervisory references within the last two years
