Cardiac Telemetry RN – 12-Hour Nights

The Role

Join the cardiac telemetry unit for 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). You'll care for patients post-cardiac catheterization, those with CHF, COPD, arrhythmias, and patients awaiting CABG consultation or pacemaker placement. This is a fast-paced environment with an average of 8–12 admissions and discharges daily.

What You'll Do

• Read and interpret cardiac strips independently
• Titrate heparin and occasionally manage diuretics (Lasix/Bumex)
• Perform your own admissions and discharges; help is available when needed
• Work collaboratively with monitor techs, PCTs, a unit clerk, and a 24/7 charge nurse
• Float to stepdown and other units as needed, within your skill set

Requirements

• Current RN license
• BLS and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
• Proficiency in cardiac strip interpretation
• Ability to work every other weekend (Friday–Monday for night shifts)
• Occasional on-call may apply if census is low
