PACU Registered Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse to join the post-anesthesia care unit on a 13-week contract. You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced recovery environment, monitoring patients as they emerge from anesthesia and managing their immediate post-operative needs.
Shift & Schedule
- 4 × 10-hour day shifts per week
- 40 hours per week
- Start date: October 19, 2026
Requirements
- Minimum 18 months of PACU experience required
- Current Georgia or compact state nursing license (RN)
- BLS certification
What You'll Do
- Monitor vital signs, oxygen saturation, and neurological status
- Manage pain and nausea in the post-operative period
- Assess and respond to anesthesia recovery complications
- Communicate with surgical and anesthesia teams
- Prepare patients for discharge to inpatient units or home
- Document care and maintain accurate patient records
