MedSurg / Medical Stroke RN — Night Shift | Parkersburg, WV

This 13-week travel contract places you on a fast-paced Medical Stroke unit managing a diverse medical population. Shifts run 12 hours nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), with weekends as scheduled.

Unit Overview

The unit focuses on medical stroke care alongside a broad general medical census that includes COPD, ia, abdominal pain, and occasional surgical overflow (including post-thyroidectomy patients). You'll work within a catchall medical environment where adaptability and solid assessment skills are essential.

Schedule & Commitment

• 12-hour night shifts | 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Weekends required as scheduled
• 13-week contract (91 weeks total assignment period noted)
• Cancellation policy: up to 2 shifts may be cancelled per 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license (must be willing to submit prior to start)
• BLS (AHA) — current and unexpired
• Stroke experience preferred; NIHSS certification is a plus
• Travel nursing experience highly preferred
• BSN not required
• Unexpired driver's license required at submission

Preferred Experience

• Stroke patient management, including post-tPA care
• General medical-surgical acuity with a variable census
