Respiratory Therapist – NICU/PICU
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to join the NICU and PICU teams on a 13-week contract. You'll provide comprehensive respiratory care to critically ill pediatric and neonatal patients in a collaborative, well-staffed environment.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
- Preference scheduling available with a commitment of 6 weekend shifts (Friday–Sunday) per 4-week cycle
- Holidays as scheduled; no floating required
- No on-call or standby requirements
Clinical Responsibilities
Deliver all aspects of respiratory care, including:
- Mechanical ventilation (NAVA, Hamilton, and Servo modes)
- Non-invasive support (BiPAP, high-flow nasal cannula)
- Airway management and intubation assistance
- , cough assist, IPV treatments
- Intrahospital transport
- 20–25 treatments per day
Required Qualifications
- RRT preferred; CRT acceptable
- Minimum 2 years' experience in PICU or Level 4+ NICU
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (AHA)
Team Environment
- Eight RTs staffed per shift
- Intensivists on-site
- Department-specific orientation tailored to your background

- Stone/light gray scrubs
- Contract cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week term
