Certified Surgical Technologist – Operating Room

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join the Operating Room team. You'll provide scrub support across multiple surgical specialties in a fast-paced perioperative environment, with your primary assignment in Spine procedures. Cardiovascular cases are excluded from this role.

Clinical Scope

You'll scrub a broad range of procedures including Spine, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Robotics, Gynecology, Urology, ENT, Plastics, Vascular, Ophthalmology, and Podiatry. Your responsibilities include maintaining strict sterile technique, anticipating surgeon needs, preparing and organizing instrumentation, and collaborating with the perioperative team to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

Schedule & Requirements

• Shift: 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM
• Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Call: Rotating call and holiday call required
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Required Credentials

• Current CST certification and state license
• Broad scrubbing experience across multiple surgical specialties
• Strong sterile technique and ability to anticipate surgeon needs
• Flexibility to support various specialties as departmental needs arise

Onboarding Requirements

Standard health screening, vaccinations (MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Influenza, Hepatitis B), TB testing, drug screening, background check, and facility-specific competency assessments will be completed upon hire.
