Telemetry Nurse – Surgical Unit

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a telemetry nurse for its complex surgical unit. You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced environment, monitoring post-operative and high-acuity surgical patients while maintaining telemetry surveillance.

Schedule & Duration

• 3 × 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 13-week contract
• Start date: October 19, 2026

Requirements

• Valid RN license (Georgia or compact state)
• BLS certification
• Minimum 18 months of nursing experience
• Demonstrated telemetry experience
• Strong surgical nursing skills
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred

What You'll Do

Monitor and assess post-surgical patients, manage telemetry equipment, collaborate with the surgical team, document care in the electronic health record system, and respond quickly to patient changes. You'll need to be comfortable working independently while supporting a cohesive care team in a demanding surgical setting.

What We're Looking For

Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment, and readiness to adapt to a new facility. Prior travel experience is a plus but not required.
