Labor and Delivery Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery nurse for night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). This is a 13-week contract position.
Shift & Schedule
- 3x12-hour night shifts per week
- 91 guaranteed hours over the contract period

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
- California nursing license (current, in hand)
- BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications required
- AWHONN Intermediate/Advanced or C-EFM certification required
Clinical Scope
You'll care for laboring patients, high-risk antepartum cases, and postpartum families in a busy unit handling 100–300 births monthly. Experience with LDRP, Level I Nursery, and Mother/Baby care is expected. You'll work with the facility's charting system (Paragon); training is provided.
Floating
As an agency nurse, you may be asked to float to other units (ICU, telemetry, med/surg) per facility policy and your clinical background. No floating required to ER, postpartum, or NICU.
Onboarding Requirements
Two onsite courses must be completed within 30 days of your start date:
- Assaultive Behavior course
- Fire Card course
Documentation is due 2 Mondays prior to your start date.

- COVID-19 vaccination required (no exemptions)
- Background check required; DUI hits will not be considered
