Emergency Department RN — Travel Contract | Saratoga Springs, NY

Shift: Nights | 4x12-Hour | 19:00–07:30

Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Start Date: October 5, 2026

This combined adult/pediatric Emergency Department manages a high-volume, fast-paced environment serving patients across all age groups — neonates through geriatrics. The unit provides comprehensive emergency care with full interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, social services, and phlebotomy.

Clinical Scope & Skills Required

• Telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• 12-lead ECG/EKG acquisition

• All age group patient care (neonatal through geriatric)

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Active New York State RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• BLS, PALS, NIHSS
• ACLS (preferred)

Experience

• Minimum 2 years ED experience required; 5 years strongly preferred
• Candidates must pass an onsite EKG exam with a minimum 85% overall score and 100% accuracy on all critical rhythms
• A pre-employment Relias EKG assessment must be completed within 72 hours of signing

Additional Requirements

• Float within the hospital based on skillset at manager's discretion
• Flu vaccine required (or approved exemption submitted at least 2 weeks prior to start)
• Candidates with a permanent address within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible
• Up to 24 hours of orientation; non-billable modules average 12–15 hours and must be completed prior to orientation

Scheduling

• Minimal RTO: 7 days or fewer per contract
• Facility may call off up to 3 times per contract
