MRI Technologist — Travel Contract

Latrobe, PA | 17-Week Contract | Day Shift

This travel MRI Tech position is based in a hospital setting serving a broad patient population, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The role offers exposure to a wide range of MRI procedures across multiple body systems and acuity levels.

Schedule

• 3 × 12-hour shifts per week; shift start times are either 6:00 AM–6:30 PM or 8:00 AM–8:30 PM
• One weekend every third weeks (6:00 AM–6:30 PM with call until 9:00 PM on weekends)
• Block scheduling; 4 weekend shifts per contract

Clinical Scope

Candidates should be proficient in a broad MRI skill set, including:

• Brain, spine, MSK, chest, abdomen, and pelvic imaging
• MRA/MRV (head, neck, thoracic, lower extremity with bilateral runoff)
• Cardiac MRI (with/without contrast, stress protocols), pulmonary MRI
• MRCP, orbital, TMJ, and soft tissue imaging
• Contrast media preparation and administration
• Peripheral IV starts, radiation safety, surface coils, T1/T2 weighted imaging
• Isolation precautions/PPE; ER/Trauma and ICU patient care experience beneficial

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of MRI experience
• Active Pennsylvania or Compact state license required
• Certifications: ARRT (MR) required, ARRT (R) and BLS (AHA) required
• Willingness to float within the facility and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius
• Must be available for every other holiday

Additional Details

• 40-hour orientation; pre-start online modules required before first day
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Two supervisor references preferred
