CT Technologist – 13-Week Contract

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a high-volume acute care setting. You'll work in a busy department serving primarily emergency department patients with a strong stroke program. Expect to complete 30–40+ scans per 12-hour shift in a fast-paced, independent environment.

Shift & Schedule

• Day shift: 11:00–23:30 or Night shift: 18:00–06:30
• 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Self-scheduling based on seniority
• Weekend shifts required; frequency may exceed every other week to meet unit needs
• Must commit to working 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Open to volunteering for shifts outside contracted start times

Clinical Scope

• CT imaging: head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, cervical, thoracic, lumbar, musculoskeletal trauma
• Advanced protocols: coronary CTA, vascular CTA (pulmonary embolism, aorta), brain perfusion
• Contrast preparation and administration
• Biopsies, aspirations, drainage procedures
• Isolation precautions and radiation safety
• Patient population: pediatric through geriatric (primarily adults)

Equipment

• 64-slice Toshiba and 64-slice GE scanners

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years CT experience; community hospital background required
• Certifications: BLS, ARRT (CT or R), CA CRT, CTI
• Compact license in hand at submission
• 2 professional references (1 year coverage within last 3 years)
• Transport assistance may be required based on staffing

Contract Details

• 13 weeks
• Start: ASAP
• Guaranteed hours; facility may call off once per two-week pay period
