Pediatric Cardiac ICU — Travel RN | Denver, CO
Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 13-Week Contract
This Pediatric Cardiac ICU specializes in caring for congenital cardiac patients, including medical neonates and complex post-operative cardiac cases. The unit partners closely with the PICU, providing a highly collaborative environment supported by board-certified pediatric and congenital heart intensivists committed to partnering directly with nursing staff.
Clinical Scope
- Post-operative cardiac care including post-sternotomy and open-chest management
- Inotropic and vasopressor continuous infusions
- Chest tube and IVF management
- Moderate sedation
- Support for ECMO and CRRT patients
Schedule & Structure
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 4 shifts per 4-week schedule (weekend requirement)
- Staffed with a dedicated Charge RN each shift
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of cardiac critical care experience
- Active ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Peritoneal dialysis or CRRT experience
- ECMO bedside experience
