Cath Lab RN – Day Shift
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced RN for its busy interventional cardiology and stroke program. You'll work day shifts (7:00 AM–5:30 PM, 4 days per week) in a fast-paced cath lab environment managing acute coronary syndromes, arrhythmias, and stroke cases.
Clinical Scope
You'll support a range of diagnostic and interventional procedures including left and right heart catheterization, coronary angiography, percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA), intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) placement, electrophysiology studies and ablations, and thrombectomy for acute stroke. Patient populations include adults and geriatric patients presenting with ST-elevation MI, non-ST-elevation MI, chest pain, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias (including complete heart block and ventricular rhythms), and embolic/hemorrhagic stroke.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (IR or cath lab experience is a plus)
- Active RN license (compact license acceptable)
- ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications required
- Proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring, vasoactive drips, procedural sedation, and ventilator management
Contract Details
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 4×10-hour day shifts; 4 weekend shifts required per contract
- On-Call: Yes—rotation-based, 30-minute response time; approximately 10 call shifts per 6-week period
- Call-Off: Facility may call off once per two-week pay period
- Float: No floating required
- Scrubs: Navy blue provided
Important Notes
Request all time-off and scheduling needs upfront during submission. You must commit to working 3 of 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day). A valid state license must be in hand at submission.
