Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Endoscopy RN for a 13-week day shift contract in Akron, Ohio. You'll support the endoscopy suite, assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Shift & Schedule
- Day shift: 5×8-hour shifts with flexible start times (7a–3:30p, 8a–4p, or 9a–5p; specific schedule to be discussed at interview)
- Minimal weekend work (call-in only, unless scheduled)
- 1–2 weekday call shifts per week (response time: 1 hour; calls extend until 7a)
- 1–2 weekend call shifts every 6 weeks (24-hour Saturday–Sunday blocks)
- Potential call availability on Labor Day
Requirements
- Active Ohio RN License or valid compact state license (must be in hand at submission)
- Minimum 12 months permanent Endoscopy experience
- ACLS and BLS certifications (active and current)
- One professional reference required (manager, supervisor, or director from specialty; must be from work within the past 12 months)
- Background check and drug screening
- COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions only)
Onboarding
Pre-start modules (6–15 hours) include ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments. You'll receive up to 2 attempts to achieve a passing score on both.
