Endoscopy RN

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Endoscopy RN for a 13-week day shift assignment in Akron, Ohio. You'll work in a busy endoscopy suite supporting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Shift & Schedule

• Day shift: 5 × 8-hour shifts per week
• Flexible start times: 7:00 a.m., 8:00 a.m., or 9:00 a.m. (final schedule to be discussed during interview)
• 1–2 weekday call shifts per week (on-call until 7:00 a.m.)
• 1–2 weekend calls per 6-week period (24-hour Saturday–Sunday shifts)
• One-hour response time required for all call-ins
• No routine weekend shifts; weekends by call-in only
• Potential Labor Day call

Requirements

• Minimum 12 months permanent endoscopy experience
• Active Ohio RN license or current compact state RN license (must be in hand at submission)
• ACLS and BLS certifications required (active and current)
• One professional reference from a manager, supervisor, or director in endoscopy (within past 12 months; no peer references)
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Background check and drug screening required
• ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments completed during orientation (two attempts allowed)

You'll provide nursing care across a variety of endoscopic procedures, supporting both diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. The role requires attention to detail, strong communication with the clinical team, and the ability to respond quickly in a dynamic environment.
