About the Role
Join the Women Services team at the facility's Labor & Delivery unit. You'll provide direct patient care in a dynamic environment supporting laboring patients, deliveries, and postpartum couplet care.
Clinical Scope
The unit operates 10 labor/delivery rooms, 2 operating rooms for cesarean sections, and 2 rooms. You'll care for patients throughout the labor and delivery continuum, including:
- Labor management and delivery support
- Cesarean section circulating (required)
- Postpartum and neonatal couplet care
- assessment
Staffing includes a clinical nurse coordinator, 3 RNs, unit clerk, and surgical technician per shift. Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines.
Requirements
Must Have:
- Current RN license
- Active Labor & Delivery experience
- Ability to circulate cesarean sections
Certifications:
- NRP
- AWHONN
- BLS
- ACLS
Schedule & Expectations
- Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Rotating weekends required
- Holiday coverage included
- Scrubs provided for surgical areas
