Pediatric RN – Night Shift

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Contract: 13 weeks
Unit: Pediatric Step-Down
About the Role
Join a fast-paced pediatric step-down unit delivering post-acute care to children recovering from procedures such as spinal fusions, chest tube management, and high-flow oxygen support.Patient Care & Staffing
- Night shift includes 1 charge nurse (patient-free), 1–2 patient care technicians, and Clinical Nurse Coordinator support as available
What You'll Do
Manage patient assessment, medication administration, and procedures including NGTs, Foleys, TP tubes, peripheral IVs, and phlebotomy. You'll provide evidence-based care to children at varying acuity levels while supporting a tight-knit team environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year current pediatric RN experience
- BLS and NRP certification
- Comfort with high-flow oxygen, spinal fusion patients, and chest tube management
- Willingness to ask for and offer help in a collaborative setting
- Extensive travel nursing experience preferred
