Cardiac Med-Surg RN — Chattanooga, TN

13-Week Contract | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

This cardiac med-surg unit provides care for patients requiring continuous telemetry monitoring and cardiac medication management. Nurses on this unit titrate drips including Cardizem and heparin, and administer non-titratable infusions such as dopamine, dobutamine, and amiodarone. The unit also has 12-lead EKG capability on-site.

Unit Structure & Schedule

  • Three full 12-hour day shifts per week (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
  • 3–4 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period; self-scheduling available
  • 36-hour weekly guarantee; ACLS required
  • Float rotation shared among travel nurses

Support & Staffing

  • Free charge nurse available to assist each shift
  • Unit secretary on day shift; three PCTs per shift
  • Airstrip telemetry monitoring with remote rhythm surveillance

What You'll Bring

  • Active RN license
  • BLS and ACLS (required)
  • Cardiac/telemetry experience with EKG rhythm identification skills
  • Familiarity with cardiac drips and medication management
  • Med-surg clinical background

Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
