Cardiac Med-Surg RN — Night Shift | Chattanooga, TN
Contract: 13 weeks | Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (three 12-hour shifts/week) | Guaranteed Hours: 36
This cardiac med-surgical unit provides care for patients requiring continuous telemetry monitoring and cardiac drip management. The team is well-supported, with a dedicated charge nurse available each shift and PCTs present around the clock.
Clinical Scope:
- Management of titratable drips including Cardizem and heparin
- Non-titratable drips: dopamine, dobutamine, and amiodarone
- Continuous telemetry monitoring and EKG rhythm identification
- 12-lead EKG capability on unit
Schedule:
- Three 12-hour night shifts per week
- 3–4 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
- Self-scheduling available
- Float rotation shared among travel nurses
Required Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- BLS and ACLS (required)
- Cardiac/telemetry knowledge and EKG rhythm identification
- Experience with cardiac medications and drips
- Med-surg clinical background
