Cardiac Med-Surg RN — Night Shift | Chattanooga, TN

Contract: 13 weeks | Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (three 12-hour shifts/week) | Guaranteed Hours: 36

This cardiac med-surgical unit provides care for patients requiring continuous telemetry monitoring and cardiac drip management. The team is well-supported, with a dedicated charge nurse available each shift and PCTs present around the clock.

Clinical Scope:

  • Management of titratable drips including Cardizem and heparin
  • Non-titratable drips: dopamine, dobutamine, and amiodarone
  • Continuous telemetry monitoring and EKG rhythm identification
  • 12-lead EKG capability on unit

Schedule:

  • Three 12-hour night shifts per week
  • 3–4 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
  • Self-scheduling available
  • Float rotation shared among travel nurses

Required Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • BLS and ACLS (required)
  • Cardiac/telemetry knowledge and EKG rhythm identification
  • Experience with cardiac medications and drips
  • Med-surg clinical background
