Cardiac Med-Surg | Night Shift | Chattanooga, TN
This 13-week travel contract places you on a well-supported cardiac med-surg unit, working night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) with a 36-hour weekly guarantee. Start date is October 19, 2026.
Unit Overview
The unit specializes in cardiac medical-surgical care, managing patients requiring continuous telemetry monitoring, EKG rhythm identification, and titrated cardiac drips including Cardizem and heparin, as well as non-titratable drips such as dopamine, dobutamine, and amiodarone. A 12-lead EKG is available on the unit.
Staffing & Support
- Six nurses per shift with a dedicated, free-floating charge nurse
- Three PCTs per shift
- Unit secretary available on day shift
- Self-scheduling with flexibility
Schedule Requirements
- Three full 12-hour shifts per week
- 3–4 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
- Float rotation shared among travel nurses
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- BLS and ACLS (required)
- Cardiac/telemetry knowledge and EKG rhythm identification
- Experience with cardiac medications and drips
- Med-surg background
