NICU RN – Seasonal Contract

Position Overview

Join the NICU team for a 13-week seasonal contract. This role offers the opportunity to provide specialized care to critically ill and premature infants in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

Shift & Schedule

• Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Location: Austin, TX
• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
• No on-call required

Unit Details

The NICU is a Level 3 unit focused on managing high-acuity neonatal patients. You'll work primarily alongside RNs and clerical support, with typical patient ratios of 3–4 patients per RN. The team uses modern infusion and monitoring equipment to support comprehensive neonatal care.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Level 3 NICU experience required
• Current BLS certification
• RN license (active in Texas)
• Travel nursing experience preferred

Dress Code

Navy scrubs required; no nail polish or artificial nails.
