Cardiac Cath Lab & EP Lab Technologist
San Antonio, TX | 13-Week Contract
Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
On-Call Requirements: 1–2 nights per week (3:30 PM–7:00 AM) + one 24-hour weekend per month
Must live within 30 minutes of the facility
About the Role
Join a busy interventional cardiology program performing high-volume cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology (EP), and peripheral interventional procedures. You'll work in a collaborative environment supporting complex diagnostics and device placements across two cath labs and two EP labs.
Clinical Scope
- Right and left heart catheterizations
- Complex percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)
- Impella and IABP placement and management
- EP studies, ablations, and device implants (pacemakers, ICDs, Watchman)
- Peripheral vascular intervention and diagnostic procedures
- Specialized studies (EKOS, PFO occlusion, nitric oxide)
Team Structure
Day shift cath lab teams consist of 3–4 technologists; EP lab teams have 3 technologists. You'll float between both labs as needed.
Requirements
- 2+ years cardiac cath lab experience
- Complex PCI experience
- Proficiency with Impella and IABP management
- GE Mac Lab recording experience
- Current certification: RCIS, RCES, or ARRT
- Flexible scheduling and willingness to take additional call
Preferred
- EP lab experience
- EP device placement and ablation background
- Peripheral vascular intervention experience
Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs (provided)
