Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse

Position Overview

The facility is seeking experienced PICU nurses for a 90-week contract assignment. You'll work in a high-acuity, fast-paced pediatric intensive care environment caring for critically ill children across multiple specialty areas.

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 36–48 hours per week
• 90-week contract duration

Unit Details

Float assignments to other units—including cardiovascular ICU and the NICU—are expected as needed.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in pediatric nursing specialty
• Current RN license (state-specific verification required)
• BLS and PALS certifications
• Completion of facility-specific onboarding and competency assessments

Dress Code

Navy scrubs with pediatric print tops permitted.

What to Expect During Onboarding

Standard requirements include background check, immunization verification (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap), TB screening, drug screening, and education/employment verification.
