Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced PICU nurse for a 13-week contract assignment. You'll work a day shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) in a high-acuity, fast-paced pediatric intensive care environment managing critically ill children across multiple specialties.
Unit Details
Requirements
- Current RN license (Texas)
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric specialty nursing experience
- BLS and PALS certifications
- Vaccinations: MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Hepatitis B, Influenza, and 2-step PPD or IGRA
- Fit test and health statement completion
What to Expect
- 36–48 guaranteed hours per week
- Navy scrubs; pediatric print tops permitted
- Onboarding includes specialty and core competency exams, EKG certification, and systems training
- Background check and employment verification required
