CHARGE RN – EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Charge RN to lead and support a fast-paced Emergency Department on night shifts. This is a 13-week contract working three 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), with an every-other-weekend schedule.
Role & Responsibilities
You'll split your time between ED charge duties (60%) and backup critical access charge responsibilities (40%), including float shifts to the Med/Surg Stepdown unit. This role requires you to manage ED operations, support your team, and provide direct patient care in a high-acuity environment. You'll assist with Med/Surg patient care as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of current Emergency Room experience
- Previous charge nurse experience (mandatory)
- Active RN license in New Hampshire
- Current American Heart Association certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
- Ability to float to Med/Surg units and adapt to diverse patient populations
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior critical access hospital experience
- Previous travel assignment experience
