ICU Registered Nurse — Travel Contract

Saranac Lake, NY | Nights | 13 Weeks

This travel RN opportunity places you in an intensive care unit managing critically ill patients requiring continuous monitoring, advanced hemodynamic support, and complex interventions. The unit maintains high-acuity standards with a low nurse-to-patient ratio based on acuity and staffing guidelines.

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Night shift)
• 13-week contract beginning November 16, 2026

Clinical Scope

• Manage ventilated patients and those on titratable vasoactive and sedation drips
• Monitor and maintain arterial lines, central lines, and hemodynamic monitoring systems
• Perform rapid response and code interventions
• Collaborate with intensivists and an interdisciplinary team on individualized care plans
• Provide patient and family education on diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care needs

Requirements

• Active RN license in New York (or applicable compact license)
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
• BLS and ACLS required
• CCRN certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of ICU/critical care nursing experience
• Demonstrated proficiency with critical care equipment, including ventilators, hemodynamic monitors, and titratable drip management

This is a strong fit for experienced critical care nurses comfortable working independently in a high-acuity environment and ready to integrate quickly into an established ICU team.
