Cardiac Med-Surg RN — Night Shift | Chattanooga, TN
This 13-week contract placement is on a busy cardiac med-surg unit, caring for patients requiring telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, and EKG rhythm interpretation. The unit operates with a strong support structure including a dedicated charge nurse available to assist staff each shift and patient care technicians on every shift.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Three 12-hour shifts per week
- 3–4 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
- 36-hour weekly guarantee; 48-hour guarantee available
- Float rotation shared among travel nurses
Clinical Scope
- Cardiac med-surg patient population with telemetry monitoring
- Titrated drips: Cardizem and heparin
- Non-titrated drips: dopamine, dobutamine, amiodarone
- 12-lead EKG capability on unit
- EKG rhythm identification required
Required Certifications & Credentials
- Active RN license
- BLS and ACLS (required)
- Cardiac/telemetry knowledge and EKG rhythm identification
Preferred Experience
- Med-surg background with cardiac focus
- Familiarity with cardiac medications and drip management
