Cardiac Med-Surg RN — Night Shift | Chattanooga, TN

This 13-week contract placement is on a busy cardiac med-surg unit, caring for patients requiring telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, and EKG rhythm interpretation. The unit operates with a strong support structure including a dedicated charge nurse available to assist staff each shift and patient care technicians on every shift.

Shift & Schedule

  • Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Three 12-hour shifts per week
  • 3–4 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
  • 36-hour weekly guarantee; 48-hour guarantee available
  • Float rotation shared among travel nurses

Clinical Scope

  • Cardiac med-surg patient population with telemetry monitoring
  • Titrated drips: Cardizem and heparin
  • Non-titrated drips: dopamine, dobutamine, amiodarone
  • 12-lead EKG capability on unit
  • EKG rhythm identification required

Required Certifications & Credentials

  • Active RN license
  • BLS and ACLS (required)
  • Cardiac/telemetry knowledge and EKG rhythm identification

Preferred Experience

  • Med-surg background with cardiac focus
  • Familiarity with cardiac medications and drip management
