ICU RN – Cardiac Neuro ICU | Wichita, KS | Night Shift

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: September 9, 2026

Guaranteed Hours: 36/week

This Cardiac Neuro ICU manages a high-acuity, complex patient population spanning both cardiovascular and neurological critical care. The unit sees patients presenting with STEMI/NSTEMI, post-cardiac intervention recovery, stroke, and neurological emergencies.

Procedures & Clinical Scope:

• Heart catheterizations, cardioversion, therapeutic hypothermia (TTM post-cardiac arrest)
• Mechanical circulatory support: balloon pumps and Impella
• CRRT for renal replacement therapy
• Neuro procedures: EVD management, thrombectomy, and coiling
• Central lines, arterial lines, and complex medication drips (vasoactives, sedatives, paralytics)

Unit Culture & Expectations:

• Bedside shift report is mandatory
• Multidisciplinary rounding (MDRs) required
• Team-oriented environment; ideal candidate is driven, organized, and brings a positive, engaged attitude

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of current hospital ICU experience
• Active BLS and ACLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale proficiency

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior travel ICU experience
• Night shift ICU background in a high-acuity setting
