Endoscopy / GI Lab – Intra-Op Circulation RN

Wheeling, WV | 13-Week Contract | Days

This GI Lab position focuses on intra-operative circulation nursing (no sedation administration) in a busy endoscopy unit supported by surgical techs.

Common Procedures:

• EGD and colonoscopy
• ERCP and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)
• Endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR)
• Hemorrhoid banding

Schedule:

• Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
• 8- or 10-hour varied shifts; no self-scheduling or block scheduling
• A case-completion number system is used when procedures run late (typically ~3 days per month)
• Weekend call: 1 weekend per month, Saturday and Sunday 7:00 AM–3:00 PM (rotation may vary)
• Holiday on-call: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
• Call response time: 30 minutes (generally flexible)
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week

Requirements:

• Active RN license
• BLS (AHA) required
• Solid knowledge of endoscopy procedures and equipment
• Must reside or be willing to stay within 50 miles of the facility
• Active driver's license required at time of submission
• BSN not required
• Familiarity with electronic health records is a plus

Additional Details:

• Scrubs provided in-house
• Unit-specific orientation provided
• No float requirements
• Surgical techs are present in the department
