Med Surg Tele

Med/Surg Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Greensboro, NC

Contract: 26 weeks (no 13-week option; must commit to full contract if offered)

Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 3x12-hour shifts per week

Start Date: October 12, 2026

This Med/Surg Telemetry position serves a primarily Medical/Surgical patient population on a tele-capable unit. The unit is staffed with interdisciplinary support and interpretation services.

Schedule & Float:

• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Charge RN shifts assigned as needed
• Float to any facility campus may be required

Clinical Scope:

• Blood product administration and peripheral line care/management
• Starting and maintaining IVs; PICC line management
• Heparin, insulin protocols, and PCA management
• BiPAP/CPAP management; nasal cannula
• Isolation precautions and PPE
• Rapid response/code team participation
• Wound care, surgical drains, feeding tube care, oral suctioning
• Colostomy/ileostomy management
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and EKG monitoring

Requirements:

• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience; prior charge experience required
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Prior travel experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• No local candidates within 50-mile radius

Compliance Notes:

• RTO must be submitted with application; no post-submission RTO accepted
• Active license required at submission; third-party education verification required
• No open background cases permitted
