Med/Surg Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Greensboro, NC
Contract: 26 weeks (no 13-week option; must commit to full contract if offered)
Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 3x12-hour shifts per week
Start Date: October 12, 2026
This Med/Surg Telemetry position serves a primarily Medical/Surgical patient population on a tele-capable unit. The unit is staffed with interdisciplinary support and interpretation services.
Schedule & Float:
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
- Charge RN shifts assigned as needed
- Float to any facility campus may be required
Clinical Scope:
- Blood product administration and peripheral line care/management
- Starting and maintaining IVs; PICC line management
- Heparin, insulin protocols, and PCA management
- BiPAP/CPAP management; nasal cannula
- Isolation precautions and PPE
- Rapid response/code team participation
- Wound care, surgical drains, feeding tube care, oral suctioning
- Colostomy/ileostomy management
- Dysrhythmia interpretation and EKG monitoring
Requirements:
- Active RN license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience; prior charge experience required
- BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Prior travel experience required
- Must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
- COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- No local candidates within 50-mile radius
Compliance Notes:
- RTO must be submitted with application; no post-submission RTO accepted
- Active license required at submission; third-party education verification required
- No open background cases permitted
