Labor & Delivery RN — 12-Hour Night Shift
The Opportunity
Join the labor and delivery team at the facility in Sacramento.What You'll Do
You'll provide comprehensive care from admission through postpartum recovery, including:
- Labor support and monitoring of high-risk conditions (preterm labor, bleeding, hypertension, inductions)
- Circulating cesarean sections (required skill)
- Titrating Pitocin and managing other medications
- Reading and interpreting fetal monitoring strips and maternal EKGs in PACU
- Float to the Mother/Baby unit as needed
What We Need
- Current RN license
- BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN-Advanced certifications
- STABLE preferred
- Ability to circulate C-sections and handle all aspects of LDRP care
- Comfort with floating to other facility locations in the Sacramento area
Shift Details
- 12-hour nights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM, report at bedside 6:45 AM)
- Every other weekend
- First to float
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 14-week contract
- OB hospitalist and anesthesia on-site 24/7; neonatologist on-call
- Scrubs provided
