L&D / LDRP Travel RN — Sacramento, CA

13-Week Contract | 12-Hour Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

This is a high-acuity, high-risk LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum) position on a busy couplet care unit. Candidates must be comfortable managing all aspects of care from admission through postpartum discharge.

Clinical Scope

• Common diagnoses: preterm labor, antepartum bleeding, inductions, cesarean sections, and hypertension
• Must be able to circulate C-sections independently — this is a firm requirement for all RNs on the unit
• Titration of drips required (including Pitocin)
• EKG strip interpretation required for post-surgical patients in PACU
• OB hospitalist on-site 24/7; neonatology available on call with daily rounds; anesthesia in-house 24/7
• OB surgical techs on the unit

Schedule & Float

• 12-hour nights, shift start 6:45 PM, bedside report
• Every other weekend required
• First to float; may be floated mid-shift to other Sacramento-area facilities (rare)
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• OT and extra shifts available
• 30-minute call-back response time if placed on call
• Travelers work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)

Required Certifications

• BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN-Advanced Fetal Monitoring
• STABLE preferred

Additional Details

• BSN not required
• Active California RN license required at submission
• 2 supervisory references required at submittal (charge nurse accepted); 1 within 12 months, 1 within 3 years
• Scrubs provided
• Candidates may not have been directly employed by CommonSpirit-affiliated facilities (including CHI or Dignity) within the past year
