ICU RN – Observation Unit
About the Role
The facility is seeking an experienced ICU RN to join its Inpatient Observation Unit, a fast-paced setting near the Emergency Department. You'll care for patients across a spectrum of acuity levels, including medical admissions, trauma overflow, and observation holds. Patient acuity changes frequently, requiring adaptability and strong clinical judgment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a dynamic observation environment
- Monitor and respond to changing patient conditions
- Collaborate with the ED and inpatient teams
- Float to other clinical areas as needed based on competency
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- TNCC preferred
- Valid RN license
Schedule & Contract
- Day shift, 12-hour blocks (4 days per week)
- 14-week contract
- Guaranteed 48 hours weekly
- Flexibility to adjust hours and duration based on your needs
- Holidays are a work expectation
