Emergency Department RN — McKinney, TX

Night Shift | 13-Week Contract

This Emergency Department RN role is a night shift position (18:00–06:00) based in McKinney, Texas, with an ASAP start date preferred.

Unit & Clinical Scope

The ED handles a broad mix of acute and emergency presentations across all acuity levels. Nurses care for a variety of patients including those requiring emergent intervention, with admitted patients sometimes held in the ED pending inpatient placement. The unit operates at a fast pace and calls for confident, high-energy clinicians comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

Schedule & Contract Details

• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Contract: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
• Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week block
• No on-call requirement

Float Expectations

Nurses may float to hold admitted ED patients within the department.

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• TNCC

Dress Code

Royal blue scrubs (top and bottom)

• Prior ED experience with a strong patient experience focus
• Comfortable with a busy, high-acuity environment
• Self-motivated, team-oriented, and adaptable
• Quick start availability with minimal time-off requests during the contract period
