Night Shift Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department on the night shift. You'll coordinate and implement individualized patient care plans using the nursing process, working in a fast-paced environment that demands critical thinking, prioritization, and decisive judgment.

Clinical Scope

You'll manage acutely ill and injured patients across a broad spectrum of presentations. Your responsibilities include:

• Assessment, , and evidence-based treatment of emergency patients
• Development and evaluation of individualized care plans
• Collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Patient and family education tailored to age, culture, and condition
• Delegation of patient care tasks to ancillary personnel
• Precepting of student nurses and new hires (as applicable)

You'll address communication barriers related to psychosocial, literacy, financial, and cultural factors, and support patients' spiritual and psychosocial needs throughout their care.

Requirements

• Current, active Colorado RN license or Compact license
• Current BLS certification (required at hire or within 90 days)
• ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, STABLE, and NRP certifications (required within 6 months to 1 year of hire)
• Two years hospital nursing experience preferred
• One year ED or Critical Care experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field preferred
