Hospice Nurse

Location: Grand Junction, CO

Shift: Three 12-hour rotating shifts (7pm–7am)

Contract Duration: 12 weeks

Start Date: October 5, 2026

About the Role

Join a compassionate hospice nursing team providing intensive, end-of-life care in a home-like setting. You'll work with patients who have chosen comfort-focused care outside of a hospital environment, supporting them and their families through life's most meaningful moments.

Your Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled symptom management and assessment for patients with advanced illness
• Act as both a generalist across all disease processes and a specialist in comfort care
• Guide patients and families in identifying and achieving their personal goals of care
• Provide comprehensive physical, emotional, social, and spiritual support
• Educate and empower caregivers to confidently support their loved ones
• Think critically and advocate for patient-centered, personalized care

Schedule & Expectations

• Three rotating 12-hour night shifts (7pm–7am)
• On-call requirement: 2 shifts per month
• Orientation: 3 days (8am–5pm) before transitioning to night shifts

What We're Looking For

• Current RN license
• Strong clinical skills with excellent assessment and critical thinking
• Passion for end-of-life care and patient advocacy
• Ability to build trust and communicate compassionately with patients and families
