Registered Nurse – ICU
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in its critical care unit. You'll work with pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients requiring intensive monitoring and intervention, delivering care aligned with AACN Standards.
Shift & Schedule
- 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week (7 PM – 7 AM)
- 13-week contract
- Starts Wednesday, October 14, 2026
- During orientation week, expect 36 guaranteed hours due to midweek start
Requirements
- Current RN license (Vermont)
- Minimum 2 years critical care experience
- Ability to read and interpret cardiac telemetry
- Valid driver's license and dependable personal vehicle
Clinical Scope
The ICU manages high-acuity patients across multiple age groups. You'll assess vital signs, manage monitoring equipment, coordinate care transitions, and respond to acute changes in patient condition. Your role emphasizes individualized, developmentally appropriate care.
Location & Logistics
The facility is located in rural northeastern Vermont, approximately 2 hours from the nearest major airport. Public transportation and ride-share services are not available in the area. A personal vehicle is essential for commuting.
Housing is not provided by the facility. You are responsible for securing your own accommodation; local housing resources are available upon request.
Onboarding
Submit all required credentials (licenses, certifications, references, background clearance) no later than 5 business days before your start date to ensure a smooth integration.
