Physical Therapist Assistant
Outpatient Physical Therapist
Location: Glenwood Springs, CO
Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts | Weekdays only, no weekends
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
About the Role
The facility's outpatient rehabilitation department is expanding to meet growing patient demand. You'll evaluate patients across a range of diagnoses and develop individualized treatment plans focused on improving strength, range of motion, balance, safety, and functional mobility. You'll also educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs to support ongoing recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient evaluations and assessments
- Design and implement treatment plans tailored to patient needs
- Provide direct patient care in an outpatient clinic setting
- Educate patients and families on exercise programs and self-management
- Document patient progress and adjust treatment as needed
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- Current Colorado PT licensure (DORA) or Colorado compact licensure
- Minimum 2 years of PT experience (3–5 years preferred)
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- Flu vaccination required October 1st through April 1st (no exceptions)
Additional Requirements
- Permanent address must be at least 75 miles from the facility
- CAPS credentialing must be initiated immediately (allow up to 2 weeks)
Housing
Newly remodeled, fully furnished studio and one-bedroom apartments are available near the facility, including utilities, Wi-Fi, and laundry. Monthly rent: $1,790 (studio) or $1,980 (one-bedroom).
