Emergency Room RN — Chico, CA

13-Week Contract | Rotating 12-Hour Shifts

This ER position is based in Chico, CA, supporting a high-volume emergency department that serves a diverse patient population across pediatric, trauma, cardiac, and neurological emergencies.

Shift Details

• 3 x 12-hour shifts per week, rotating schedule
• Varied start times: 6a, 8a, 10a, 12p, 2p, and 6p
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week

• Duration: 13 weeks

Clinical Scope

The department manages a high annual patient volume across a multi-pod layout. Nurses care for patients presenting with trauma, STEMI, stroke, and pediatric emergencies, requiring proficiency across a broad acuity range.

Required Qualifications

• Current California RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of emergency nursing experience, including pediatrics, trauma, STEMI, and stroke management
• W-2 employment status required

Preferred Certifications

• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

Additional Notes

• Floating to Med/Surg or Critical Care may be required as needed
• Candidates must be W-2 employees of their agency — 1099 not accepted
