Interventional Radiology Technologist

Assignment Details
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

About the Role
The facility's interventional radiology department is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to join the clinical team. You will assist interventional radiologists in performing minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including vascular interventions, drain placements, biopsies, and image-guided injections.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and equipment for IR procedures
- Assist with patient positioning and monitoring during procedures
- Manage sterile fields and maintain infection control protocols
- Operate imaging equipment and assist with image acquisition
- Document procedures accurately
- Support patient safety and comfort throughout interventions
Required Qualifications
- Current ARRT certification (Radiologic Technology)
- ARRT Interventional Radiology (RCIS) certification or willingness to obtain
- Current BLS certification
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a sterile environment while wearing protective lead aprons and radiation safety equipment.
