Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU) – RN
Position Overview
The facility's Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit provides specialized, 24-hour monitoring and advanced care for patients recovering from complex heart, lung, and vascular surgeries, as well as those managing severe cardiac and respiratory conditions.
Shift & Contract Details
- 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights)
- 36 hours per week
- 26-week contract with 72 guaranteed hours biweekly
- Weekly orientation provided
- No float requirement
Requirements
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
- Minimum 2–3 years nursing experience
- At least 2 years in cardiothoracic or cardiovascular ICU
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Must have been separated from current employer for 6+ months
What You'll Do
Monitor and care for post-operative cardiac and thoracic patients, manage complex hemodynamic conditions, and provide skilled intensive care to critically ill patients with cardiac and respiratory conditions. You'll work in a high-acuity environment where clinical judgment and attention to detail are essential.

- Any color scrubs permitted
- No floating to other units
