Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU) – RN
Position Overview
The facility's cardiothoracic intensive care unit provides specialized, high-acuity care for patients recovering from complex heart, lung, and vascular surgeries, as well as those managing severe cardiac and respiratory conditions. You'll deliver 24-hour monitoring and advanced clinical support in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights)
- 36 hours per week
- 26-week contract
- No float requirement
- Weekly orientation provided
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of nursing experience
- At least 2 years in CT/CVICU
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
- Travel nursing experience required
- Must have been separated from previous assignments for 6+ months
- Any color scrubs
What You'll Do
Manage high-acuity post-surgical and critically ill cardiac patients. Your scope includes advanced hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and post-operative care following cardiothoracic procedures.
