CTICU Registered Nurse — Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit

Burlington, MA | 26-Week Contract | Rotating 12-Hour Shifts

This cardiothoracic intensive care unit (CTICU) provides 24-hour monitoring and advanced care for patients recovering from complex heart, lung, and vascular surgeries, as well as those managing severe cardiac and respiratory conditions. The unit demands strong critical care judgment and the ability to respond to rapidly changing patient status in a high-acuity environment.

Schedule & Hours

• 3 x 12-hour rotating shifts (days and nights)
• 36 hours per week; 72 hours guaranteed biweekly
• Guaranteed hours do not include on-call time worked
• Estimated start: October 12, 2026

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of RN experience, with at least 2 years in a CT/CVICU setting
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Active RN license in Massachusetts (or compact eligibility)
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS required
• Prior experience in a high-acuity critical care environment managing complex cardiac and thoracic surgical patients
