Emergency Department Nurse

Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
9-week contract
36 or 48 hours per week (guaranteed 36)
About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume ED
- Float to other units and hospitals as needed
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff
- Manage multiple patients across varying acuity levels
Requirements
- License: Registered Nurse license (State of Alabama or Compact; temporary licenses not accepted)
- Education: Associate degree in nursing
- Certifications: AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, AHA PALS, NIH/Red Cross certifications, TNCC
- Experience: Minimum 2 years nursing experience (or 18 months with 2 years of recent specialty-level experience)
- Dress Code: Solid navy scrubs
- Willingness to float: Required
