Emergency Department Nurse

Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

9-week contract

36 or 48 hours per week (guaranteed 36)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in a high-volume ED
  • Float to other units and hospitals as needed
  • Work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff
  • Manage multiple patients across varying acuity levels

Requirements

  • License: Registered Nurse license (State of Alabama or Compact; temporary licenses not accepted)
  • Education: Associate degree in nursing
  • Certifications: AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, AHA PALS, NIH/Red Cross certifications, TNCC
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years nursing experience (or 18 months with 2 years of recent specialty-level experience)
  • Dress Code: Solid navy scrubs
  • Willingness to float: Required
