Emergency Department Nurse
Position Overview
The facility's Emergency Department is seeking registered nurses for a 5-week contract. This is a clinical, patient-facing role working 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM shifts. You will have the option to work 36 or 48 hours per week with 36 guaranteed hours.
Unit Description
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in a 24/7 emergency setting
- Float to other units and hospitals as needed
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff
- Manage varying patient acuity and fast-paced case flow
Requirements
- License: Registered Nurse (Alabama state or compact license; no temporary licenses)
- Education: Associate degree in nursing
- Experience: Minimum 2 years recent specialty experience (18 months may be considered under highest professional license)
- Certifications: AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, AHA PALS, NIHOR RED CROSS, TNCC, and SECURE (onsite credential)
